Angela March: Major: Art History, Minors: Environment and Society and East Asian Studies, 2000
"I was really surprised when I landed my job at a City of Toronto museum. Having a Major in Art History and a double minor in Environment and Society and East Asian studies, it was dubious that I would get a job that conformed to all these far-flung interests. But, it actual fact, these contrasts helped me. One of my many jobs here is designing programs (for the general public and specialized education - based ones) which utilize my art-history and my environmental science background. I also facilitate ESL programs... My supervisor even said that my multi-disciplinary background was an asset to my career. Who wouldda thunk it? Now, I'm not sure where I'll end up, but I'm enjoying the present. I think the key is to be true to your nature; if you aren't the specialist type, but are awed and inspired by all sorts of things out there, go for them! You'll be amazed at how... they all connect."

Michelle Fernando: Specialist Ecology and Minor in Environment and Science, 1998
Michelle is currently at York University, completing a combined MES/LLB programme in environmental law.
